HOW TO USE 2GO ON BLACKBERRY

Lately, i noticed that some of my facebook friends find it difficult to use 2go application on their blackberry, and thats why i av decided to write on How To Use 2go On blackberry Phones. In this post, the problem of 2go not connecting to the internet or 2go not showing the keypad on blackberry storm 1 and 2, will be tackled.



HOW TO USE 2GO ON YOUR BLACKBERRY PHONE USING MTN AS EXAMPLE FOLLOW THE STEPS:
1. Goto Menu -> Options -> Advanced Options ->TCP/IP * Tick “APN Settings Enabled” APN:web.gprs.mtnnigeria.net

2. ‘Tick Authentication Enabled’ Username for APN:web Password for APN: web

3. Press Menu -> Save
Run on your blackberry it should work now!

FOLLOW THIS STEPS TO MAKE 2GO WORK FOR YOU ON B.B
Goto Menu > Options > Advance Options > TCP/IP, then fill in the Info into your Settings as seen below!

+ Tick “APN settings enabled” and input this in the APN: web.gprs.mtnnigeria.net
+ Tick “APN Authentication”
+ Username for APN: web
+ Password for APN: web
+ Then press Menu key > Save. | Now You can Enjoy 2GO on your Blackberry!


DO THIS TO MAKE 2GO SHOW KEYPAD FOR YOU ON BLACKBERRY STORM 1 & 2
Blackberry Storm 1 & 2 are also complaining of 2GO not showing Keypad to type on their Phone, Do this:

Goto Menu > Options > Applications, locate 2go interaction > press Menu key, Click on enable Compatibility Mode > Menu key > Then Save... The Keyboard will appear and you can start using 2GO on your Storm 1 and 2.


FOLLOW THIS STEPS TO MAKE 2GO WORK FOR YOU ON BB TORCH
Note:- 2GO does not work with BIS, You have to Subscribe to any Data Bundle or have credit on your Blackberry before 2GO can work for you. Just follow this Simple step to get 2GO working for you on Blackberry Torch!

Goto Menu => Options => Device => Advance System Settings => TCP IP, then fill in the Info into your Settings as seen below!

1. Tick “APN settings enabled” and input this in the APN depending on your Network: e.g web.gprs.mtnnigeria.net
2 Tick “APN Authentication”
3. Username for APN: web
4. Password for APN: web
5. Then press Menu key => Save. | Now You can Enjoy 2GO on your Blackberry Torch!

ADDITIONAL INFO
The APN in Step 1 differs based on the Network, Below are the APN for different Networks.

MTN => web.gprs.mtnnigeria.net ¶ Username & Password => web
Airtel => internet.ng.airtel.com ¶ Username & Password => internet
Glo => gloflat ¶ Username & Password => gloflat
Etisalat =>etisalat ¶ Username & Password => etisalat

CREATE NOKIA S40 PROV FILE YOUSELF

Hello there, it’s been a quiet long time . Lately, I have seen many of my friends with Nokia series 40 phones searching the internet for proxy settings (popularly called prov files) for their S40 phones of specified service providers.

So I made one executable file from a batch file to compile those settings offline, so that you can create prov files yourself at the corner of your room without connecting to the internet.

This post contains download link for the prov file maker and instructions about how to use it.

REQUIREMENTS
You need a pc.
Bluetooth device with drivers installed.
If Bluetooth device is not available on your PC, provision should be made for a USB and another phone with Bluetooth functionality.

STEPS TO FOLLOW:

DOWNLOAD PROV FILE MAKER FROM THIS LINK

1. First download the settings maker from the above links and extract it .Then install it in any folder.
2. Now double click the executable file "S40 settings maker"
3. Enter the proxy server address you wish to configure
4. Enter the port number.
5. Enter the access point name (e.g: wap.ng.airtel.com in Airtel Nigeria & web.gprs.mtnnigerial.net in MTN Nigeria)
6. When you get the message of settings compilation , go to the folder where you installed all files and search for file named "s40settings.prov"
7. Send this file through Bluetooth or infrared to your nokia S40 phone.
8. You will receive message "configuration settings received "
9. save the settings in the phone.
10. Finally, make this setting as default in your phone.
